  • Ella lived in Hawaii for 3 years where she learnt the art of making flower crowns or Lei Po'o or Haka in Hawai'in. In Hawaii they use tea leaves, ironed and twisted methodically to create a woven band and then they add frangipani flowers along the way.The art is traditional in Hawai'ian culture especially on May Day where there are flower festivals all over the islands, the women traditionally sit on the floor together for hours weaving and chatting, sewing the essence of femininity into the flowers as they weave. It's a beautiful ceremony which Ella has adapted into this workshop. We don't have tea leaves here to weave so we will use florists wire and weave through locally grown flowers such as roses, lisianthus & lavender to name a few. You'll come away with a beautiful unique flower crown to adorn yourself for the rest of the festival. Maybe Ella will even teach you a bit of Hula if there's time!

BREATHING IN NATURE FOR RESILIENCE WITH DAVID JACKSON

In this workshop, we’ll explore the interplay with stress and our environment; as these can provide further stress or serve as a source of rest and recharge. Learn how your breath can be both a tool for immediate ‘reprieve’ (stress management) and be used to build your long-term stress resilience. Discover how we can use our breath as a marker for us to understand our overall stress load. Enjoy space and guidance for practice, to leave this workshop feeling refreshed and recharged and how to confidently use this in everyday life to optimise your resiliency.

  • I'm a former professional rugby player, accredited UKSCA Strength & Conditioning coach, NASM performance enhancement & corrective exercise specialist on a mission to make breathwork a normal part of our everyday lives.

    Having retrained my own breathing after a brain injury in 2013 forced me to retire from rugby, I’m passionate about helping others change the way they breathe to improve the way the feel, move and perform. I believe in breathwork there is something for everyone, having worked with professionals seeking better stress management or those suffering with anxiety to professional athletes looking to improve performance and everything in between. I know how your breath can impact all areas of our body and mind, which is why I'm so passionate about helping people use breathwork to fulfil their true potential. Having felt the benefits personally, I want to share it with others.

JAPA MEDITATION WITH NAS AMIR-AHMADI

Share some time with Nas learning about the history of malas, whilst she teaches you the skill of Japa meditation. Japa means to utter in a low voice and is also known as mantra meditation as it involves chanting a mantra, or affirmation. The meditative practice of Japa allows your mind to quieten and focus, it is widely practiced in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. It is a perfect way to enhance or improve your meditation practice and invite positivity into your life. We look forward to sharing some calm time with you.

    If you love yoga, crystals, manifestation, self-development, and loving your life a little more, then we are going to be best friends! I ended up on the yoga self development path as a younger version of myself suffered and survived an eating disorder. For many of those years, the fitness environment became triggering for me. I turned to Yoga to discover a silver lining of joy in life, in movement and my body. I found purpose, passion, happiness and freedom. I’ve made it my mission to inspire others to do the same, no matter their starting point, their body type, shape or size.

    I had it all: the perfect job, home, lifestyle and did the things that they tell you makes you happy. Yet I felt lost. Little did I know that although I felt lost I was on my spiritual path.

    Inside me existed knowing I was made for more. Having been the child obsessed with crystals , moon and the star as a child. I went back to my roots.

    My mission is to activate you to your highest vibration of your best self to lead a life without limits through the magic light of the lunar cycles.

FOREST BATHING WITH LINDSEY DEATH

Join a gentle and relaxing Introduction to Forest Bathing session with Lindsey from Dorset Forest Bathing. You will learn techniques to help you use your time in nature to feel calm, beat stress, and notice joy, as well as understanding the physical health benefits to being connected to nature.

  • Lindsey lives in rural Dorset with her partner and young children and is passionate about enhancing peoples everyday wellbeing by encouraging a deepening connection with nature.

    She has over 10 years experience in leading nature events, guided walks and guiding group outdoor activities. Lindsey is a qualified International Forest Therapy Guide and also holds an outdoor first aid certificate, is a mental health first aider and has undergone dementia friend training.
